Heather T. Forbes, LCSW has trained in the field of trauma and attachment with nationally recognized, first-generation attachment therapists since 1999. Co-author of "Beyond Consequences, Logic, and Control: A Love-based Approach for Helping Children With Severe Behaviors Vol. 1", author of Vol 2 as well as the new "Dare To Love", Heather lectures, consults, and coaches parents and professionals throughout the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.
Much of her experience and insight on understanding trauma, disruptive behaviors, and adoption related issues has come from her most important job, being the mother of her two children (both adopted as toddlers from Russia and both of whom had intense traumatic histories).
I was picked for the free tuition during the intro course. How do I sign up for the rest of the course without putting in my charge card information. Thank you Mary Carpenter
I will probably be signing up for the course, but I was wondering if you could send me (or direct me to the info) the information on Heather in Boise, ID that was mentioned…..What’s the talk, when, where, etc. Thanks so much!
@Mary: Congrats and I’m glad we got you all signed up – “see” you in class!
@Janel: The town is actually Twin Falls, ID. It is about 2 – 2 1/2hrs south of Boise and 3 hrs north of Salt Lake City. The date is set for March 3, 2010. They are currently working out the details if it will be open for additional attendees and will be getting back to me shortly. I will let you know when I have the info.
I can’t be home for the course on Wednesdays as I work for Head Start out of town. How can I still be a part of the research group and be involved with the course?

You can sign up and listen to the recordings while following along with the handout. If you have any questions or comments during the week, you can get peer support from the private group just for class participants, email me for any tech questions and if you have a Q or comment for Heather, email that to me too and I’ll read it alound during class.
I too will not be able to attend your Wednesday course due to work, however, I would like to be a part of your research group as well as to take this course. Please advise how you can make this work.
